SRINAGAR: Border Security Force killed one Hizbul Mujahideen militant in Tral in Pulwama district, on Saturday evening and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition from a militant hideout two villages in the same district, BSF spokesman said.
According to BSF spokesman, BSF personnel on a tip off killed one Hizbul Mujahideen militant on Saturday evening in an encounter at village Gani Raj, Tral in Pulwama district in South Kashmir.
Later he was identified as Showkat Ahmed Mir, resident of village Amirabad, Tral. BSF personnel recovered arms and ammunition including 1 AK 56 Rifle, 4 AK magazines, 1 hand grenades from the possession of slain militant, he added.
In an another joint operation, BSF alongwith Jammu and Kashmir police, recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition from a hide out at village Medoru and Dadsar, Tral in Pulwama district, on Saturday evening, he said.
